Our popular GP recruitment events of the past four years gave GPs and GP Trainees the chance to meet up and talk to a wide variety of practices all in one session. We have re-designed the format so this year you can do this online. Registration and participation is free.
Once your have booked your place you will receive your Event Pack which contains:
- Introduction to living and working in Somerset
- Overview of the work and career opportunities for GPs in Somerset
- Summary of how national and local GP recruitment measures can help you
- Advice on finding the right post for you
- Tips on achieving successful applications and interviews online
- Details of the professional, wellbeing and education services supporting every Somerset GP
From Wednesday July 8th you can view all adverts and any associated videos from practices giving detail about themselves and their vacancies and opportunities.
On Wednesday July 15th 2020 - join the event online to have a live video conversation with any practice you are interested in to find out more about them and their vacancy.
The session will run from 14.30-17.00.
The session starts with 30 minute webinar to explain process and help ensure things go smoothly.
Conversations with practices will be by pre-booked appointment.
Each 15min appointment allows for 12 mins conversation between yourself and practice representative/s and time for smooth change over.
No limit on how many appointments you can book, session times permitting.
When making an appointment for conversation you will be invited to supply practices with details about yourself ahead of the event if you want to.
After the event you will be able to progress with practices of your choice and do so with continuing advice and support from Somerset LMC and Training Hub as required.
