• Bridgwater & Taunton Primary Care Group - “Dermoscopy – Chaos and Clues Algorithm” 16th April, Walnut Tree Hotel N. Petherton

• PCP Meeting: 'Pelvic Pain' with Dr Jennifer Priday, 25 April, 7-9pm via MS Teams

• NHSE FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR IP/NMP AND GPN FUNDAMENTALS FOR 2024-25. NHS England has agreed to reimburse the tuition fees for 8 places on an Independent /Supplementary (NMP) Prescribing course and 8 places for Nurses to access a GPN Fundamentals Programme.  To take advantage of this opportunity please email: Linda.Bickerton1@nhs.net stating the practice name, applicant name, email address and programme details before applying for the course. Funding will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis and practices will be notified by the Training Hub if funds have been approved and the next steps.  Approved applicants must apply directly to the University of their choice and secure a place by the end February 2025.

• Somerset Training Hub in conjunction with Bridgwater and Taunton College are holding a General Practice Workforce and Career Planning Event on Wednesday 1st May 2024 at the Conference Centre at the college Taunton campus - This FREE event will focus on primary care workforce planning. We will look at different types of apprenticeship programmes and other opportunities that are available to support recruitment and retention in General Practice. The day will run from 09.30-15.20 and includes lunch and refreshments. • National Institute for Health and care research (NIHR) would like to hear from more primary care clinicians - Introduction to APRAISE, this register hosts the names of primary care nurses, midwives and allied healthcare professionals at advanced and enhanced level who want to support their patients participate in research. Register you interest in becoming a Principle Investigator, responsible for the delivery of a local research study.  This is ideal for those working towards their masters or qualified ACPs who want to undertake and show research for the four pillars. They will also accept enhanced nurses (GPNs) and those clinicians working in primary care with an interest in research  Link to register and more information.
