Topic: How to Improve Palliative and End of Life Care

Session 1 will cover:

·       Update on best use of medications and other treatments
·       Review JICB, syringe pumps, MAR chart prescribing and opioid conversions
·       Finding ways of addressing common problems and obstacles around end of life care
·       Discussion on how to make Advanced Plans really work for patients and families
·       Enhancing relationships across our varied professions and organisations

Session 2 is being held on 14 March.

Session 2 will cover:

·       Considering what good end of life care is and how we can achieve it
·       How to manage those difficult conversations
·       Treatment escalation planning (TEP), DNACPR and ADRT(Advance decision to refuse treatment)
·      Advance care planning: communicating the plans

(All session dates/venues will be added shortly in case you wish to see alternatives)

                Places are limited to two per organisation and there is a maximum number at each venue.
