• SGPET AGM Wednesday 26th Jan 2022 at 7.30pm via zoom, if you do not attend regular SGPET meetings but would like to attend the AGM, please email claire.winchester1@nhs.net 

• Message from Primary and Integrated Care Librarian After a couple of small hiccups, the shiny and bright new library space has opened in the Academy at Musgrave Park hospital. The space is typically staffed from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and library members are welcome to use the facilities 24/7 – door code available on request.

  There is also a new contact phone number for the Primary and Integrated Care Librarian, Paula Younger, at 07741 084039, if you would like help tracking down evidence to support CPD, improvement projects, or other aspects of your practice. Where evidence is required to support academic study or submissions, Paula can talk you through how to find articles and other documents in the first instance. There are several new resources due to come on stream shortly – more information to follow!”  

  Also a quick reminder that the library’s online book club takes place every month and all Somerset FT staff are welcome to join – this month’s title, to be discussed on 12th January at 7.30pm, is Crooked Heart by Lissa Evans, a “bittersweet World War Two comedy-drama”. • Thinking Pitstops Training Dates released for Jan - Mar  A must for your Practice Wellbeing Champion and Team! (you may wish to decide who these are - clinical or non-clinical)

  Difficult to explain, easy to experience - Thinking Pitstops are being used in Somerset as a supportive intervention to help keep us all well with clear thinking under pressure. Invest time in training Team Members, whether Medical, Nursing or other clinical, or Manager, Admin, Reception or others - and learn a tool to use proactively to help us all stay well!
